ROAD TRANSPORT: THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT INAUGURATES « TET’EKOMBO » OR « FATHER OF THE NATION », THE ROAD PLANE OF THE MEN TRAVEL COMPANY.

« Today’s meeting marks the consecration of a long and beautiful adventure which started on May 22, 2019 with the creation of the public limited company under Cameroonian law which bears my initials Maurice EBANDA NDOBO in abbreviated form MEN SA whose vision is to offer an irreproachable quality of service andinnovative in the fields of transport and logistics ».

Dixit, Maurice EBANDA NDOBO, Managing Director of the anonymous transport company « TRAVEL MEN S.A », this Friday, January 20, 2023 in Douala, on the occasion of the official ceremony of presentation of the new bus of the transport company MEN S.A.

Chaired by the Minister of Transport of Cameroon, Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLÈ BIBÉHÈ. Took part in this ceremony, Maurice EBANDA NDOBO, the Managing Director of the anonymous transport company « TRAVEL MEN S.A », the Managing Directors of SMT VOLVO, and Marcopolo Do Brasil, the Director of Road Transport at the Ministry of Transport, the Director General of Société Générale Cameroun (SGC), as well as the administrative, political, religious and traditional authorities of the Littoral region.

The objective of this company being to offer an irreproachable and innovative quality service in the field of transport and logistics, the acquisition of the TET’EKOMBO bus is a dream realized thanks to the financial cooperation of the SGC and the technical cooperation of VOLVO SMT Cameroon.

“With the MASTERCLASS, we want to set the bar even higher in terms of quality of service, comfort, standing and the well-being of our passengers, who are increasingly demanding. Traveling by plane will no longer be a luxury, because within it, you will have all the related technological, culinary, safety and health amenities,” said Maurice EBANDA NDOBO, CEO of MEN S.A.

Before continuing, “I thank the technical and financial partners, in this case VOLVO SMT, who spared no effort to make this action effective,” he said.

In view of its comfort and standing, worthy of the first-class services offered by airlines, the Minister of Transport in his speech for the occasion, congratulated the promoter of  »MEN TRAVEL » for this innovation in the sector. Transport in Cameroon withthis jewel that he will describe as « Road Plane ».

“I would like to thank the Managing Director of MEN S.A, for having responded validly to the call for modernization that I launched to transport companies, aimed at offering quality and secure services. , with better value for money,to users. This wind of modernization which is gradually spreading in this sector of activity pleases me in more ways than one,” said Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLÈ BIBÉHÈ, Minister of Transport.

Before continuing, « I invite you to stand up so that together we applaud this act of bravery and determination, manifested through the acquisition of the ‘TET’EKOMBO’ (baptismal name of the bus) », urged the boss transportation

he also took the opportunity to further urge the promoters of transport companies to put more emphasis on improving the working conditions of drivers, the systematic wearing of seat belts, speed limits, the integration of references related toyoung children, the provision of medicine boxes, the effective performance of technical inspections, the fight against driving while intoxicated. To this end, he promised to offer the transport company 1,000 breathalyzers.

« I am comforted by this idea that you have to include in the purchase or leasing option, the installation of safety devices to fight against road traffic accidents, as well as the loss of human lives and material subsequent. I would like to let you know, whether you are promoters, technical or financial partners, that the downward trend in road traffic accidents observed today is the result of the combination of all these efforts that you and we are deploying at the daily to modernize thissector of activity », demonstrated, Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLÈ BIBÉHÈ

Before continuing, « I therefore encourage you to adopt more good practices in road safety », he concluded.

In short, these good practices, coupled with modernization initiatives, could significantly reverse the curve of traffic accidents in Cameroon and make the transport vehicle a real instrument of freedom and not an instrument of death.
