“Ahead of the roundtable conference previewed for the 28th and 29th of November 2023 in Paris, heads of States and governments have ordered the steering committee of the CEMAC to mobilize necessary resources of it’s sub regions for the conference. This is in view of the implementation of the second finance budget project made up of 13 priority integrative projects”.
Within the context of the preparation of this upcoming round table conference in Paris, the highest commission of the CEMAC effectuated a tour from the 26th of June to the 4th of July at it’s different partners and fund landlords in Paris, Bruxelles, Luxembourg and in Dubai. This tour was aimed at presenting the 13 projects in order to obtain technical support and financial assistance from different partners for this important event.
According to the report, this finance budget project made up of 13 priority integrative projects is aimed at;
-The development of physical infrastructures in support of the development and the competitiveness of the economies of the Sub regions.
-The reinforcement of the production of a stable power supply, suitable market accessible for the population of the CEMAC.
– The promotion of a one market system
– And an appropriate diversified economy for a heavy productive base, for the protection of the environment, inclusive growth and development.


This highest commission of the CEMAC was headed by the Republic of Congo’s minister of the Economy and Finance Jean Baptiste Ondaye, president of ministerial committee of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS),and president of PREF-CEMAC steering committee made up of, Jean Laurent Syssa-Magale, minister in charge of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, representative of the prime minister head of government for the Central African Republic, and several other heads of the sub regions.
During this sitting, the members had working sessions with heads of directors such as those of the French Development Agency, the president of the European Investment bank, principal vice president of BLEND Finance in Dubai, which brought out some major resolutions. Amongst these are, a strong engagement of heads of States to infuse reformed structural dynamics on physical and commercial integration in the CEMAC zone through the implementation of the second priority integrative project program of the CEMAC. An increased sense of interest of the technical and finance partners with landlords for the 13 presented projects and an accepted zeal to support the CEMAC in the mobilization of finance for an effective implementation.


The partners on their part resolved to technically assist in the organization of the roundtable conference in Paris, support the CEMAC in the mobilization of finance, contribute in the implementation of the second priority integrative project particularly on 8 projects that are based on infrastructural road development and the two projects based on the interconnection of electric energy.
For the second phase of the mission, Sweden, Denmark and Norway has shown interest to host the high commission of the CEMAC from the 20th to the 27th of August 2023.
