“The Kribi Autonomous Sea Port known for its French acronym as PAK is now officially represented in the economique capital city Douala. The opening ceremony was effectuated on Friday 7th July 2023 at the CNPS Bonanjo infrastructure, the building hosting the said port under the watchful eye of the governor of the Littoral region Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, who applauded the dynamic strategy of the port in the economic capital city. This is good news for clients of the Kribi Port residing in Douala and environs who would no longer need to go to Kribi for the services of the port”.
Objectives of the Douala representation.
In line with it’s general political representation in the market, the Kribi Sea port decides to open a representation in the economic city Douala in order to offer its clients in the Littoral, West, and Southwest Regions a proximity contact and an effective coordination to facilitate their operations and have access to the services of the port. The decision falls within the context of the desire of the port to go closer to its clients to meet the specific needs in the dynamic economic zone a decision which the general manager of the port says it’s strategic “ »Douala is economic capital city in Cameroon that means mainly all investors and industrial people are in Douala. We are already working with some of them but it’s good for us to open this branch in Douala. So, this ceremony for us is one of the points of our strategy of installation of the Port of Kribi » Patrice Melom general director of the PAK said. This is the second re-presentation opened by the port after that of Yaounde. At the national level, the port has a coverage representation in the Center, East, Adamaoua, North, Far North, Littoral, West, South West and North West while at the international level, in the Central African Republic and Chad.


Missions of the PAK.
Ensure the follow up of operations between the Pak, the political administration, companies, enterprises in it’s geographical competence.
It will pay the essential role in the recovering of debts of the PAK, it’s administrative and legal procedures and equally the promotion of commercial opportunities.
It is specifically created to offer a functional and welcoming platform. The office will enable client and other users to meet with officials of the PAK without having to go to Kribi. It will be a central point for all types of needs and will play a crucial role in the treatment of demands of scoring system, billing, drafting of offers and also in the follow up operation of files before and after execution. Clients can obtain information on the development perspective, new services and ongoing projects of the Kribi Port.

The director general however admits that the port over the five years of exploitation has encountered a number of difficulties « The connection, the government is doing it’s best to provide connection, but we are yet to be so satisfied. we need roads, highways why not railway and the second difficulty is we have to extend the port. We started with the first phase and now we are extending this phase we are building a second and also, we intend to build an industrial integrated industrial zone so that we can install more and more investors at the » Kribi Port” Patrice Melom director general of the PAK.
All is therefore set and ready for the clients of the Kribi seaport residing in Douala and beyond to make use of the Douala representation with it’s multiple offers and services.
