CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC: JLS AFRICA SAS & SAIGE TO REVOLUTIONIZE FOREIGN TRADE. 

« Today’s ceremony marks the official launch of the activities of JLS Africa SAS, mandated for the issuance of Electronic Cargo Tracking Notes (ECTN), and those of SAIGE, to which the Central African Government has entrusted the responsibility of collecting the commission on the tonnage of goods to or from the Central African Republic paid by the shipowners benefiting from the loading. »

Dixit Herbert Gotran DJONO-AHABA, Minister in charge of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Central African Republic on the occasion of the double official launch ceremony of JLS Africa’s activities relating to the issuance of the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note and SAIGE on the collection of the commission on the tonnage of goods to or from the Central African Republic, paid by the shipowners benefiting from the Cargoes organized by JLS AFRICA SAS – SAIGE with the support of the Central African Shippers’ Council on May 30 in the economic metropolis of Cameroon Douala, in the presence of his counterpart of Cameroon Transport Jean Ernest MASSENA NGALLE BIBEHE.

An opportunity for the head of transport and civil aviation of the CAR to invite stakeholders to support the application of the texts in force in their fullness. Because the resources that come from it constitute the main resource of the councils of African shippers.

« Now is no longer the time to define the Cargo Tracking Note (BSC) which has become the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN). However, I would point out in passing that this document was instituted as part of the framework for monitoring States’ maritime cargoes. This tool offers African authorities a harmonization of their import/export strategies and a prevention of cargo flows », said Herbert Gotran DJONO-AHABA, Central African Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.

Before continuing, « This is the last opportunity for us to draw everyone’s attention to the importance of this document, which plays a role not least in maritime transport, because it is still not usual to meet in the same place all these key players in maritime transport, » continued the Minister.

Once defined the cargo tracking note (BSC), now Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN), This official launch ceremony by the Central African Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation accompanied by his counterpart of Transport of Cameroon, is part of the development, monitoring and visibility of the CAR’s foreign trade through the mechanism or procedure for obtaining electronic goods transport documents « the ECTN » and as part of the provision of real data on the tonnages of goods imported or exported from the CAR.

Having the capacity to produce more than 500 ECTNs per day considering the performance of its latest generation platform. Through its innovative system, JLS Africa SAS positions itself as a guarantor of the traceability and security of the international supply chain while helping states manage the risks associated with international trade beyond creating an environment conducive to growth and economic prosperity.

« We intend to make CAR the base of our regional directorate where all data from the Central and East African regions will be recorded and processed, » he added.

It should be recalled that nowadays, these resources represent more than 90% of the budget of the Central African Shippers’ Council (CCAC) which has the mission of promoting the blue economy in the Central African Republic and it is to have more visibility on the quality and quantity of goods entering and leaving its territory and a better control of its fiscal and customs resources on the one hand and strengthen the efficiency of revenue collection on the other part, that the Central African Republic, country of Professor Faustin Archange TOUADERA, President of the Republic decided on November 08, 2022 to use the expertise of the partner JLS Afrique SAS.
